Annie's Nursery School is governed by the Board of Directors who recognizes and understands that diversity is the process of attributing value to each individual.
The major goal is to help babies and children develop to be ready to enter an appropriate ready Pre-K program with all the skills to proceed in school. The objective is to ensure that young children are socially, emotionally and academically prepared for kindergarten and their families are engaged in their children's growth and education. Overtime, the objective is to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty in the community by promoting college, career education and sustainability.
The first goal is to provide the best infant care on a daily basis by certified teachers who understands the developmental process.
The second goal is to monitor the infant's abilities, milk/food intake development through the process of observation.
The third goal is to make sure all infants are secure in a safe place during all routines and activities.
Toddler Care first goal begin with developmental milestone skills encouraged by certified teachers, such as: crawling, walking for the first time and waving hi or bye. The certified teacher assists with the milestone skills by having the toddler taste different texture of foods, whether to use a spoon or fork and drinking with a straw.
The second goal is positive interaction and engagement. Toddlers will interact with other toddlers/teachers and play with or without others while adjusting to daily routines
The Children Care goal are known as "Majic Years" centered around effectively strengthening a child's adaptive skills which are part of the developmental milestone process. First goals consist of: learning ABC's, understanding picture books, walking up/downstairs, playing with a ball, standing on one (1) foot, etc.
Certified teachers will focus on the children's social, emotional and developmental behaviors. The second goal will encourage child's movement, language and cognitive skills.
The third goal is to demonstrate how to take turns, share with others and add imaginary play.
